Meet the Team – Amit Gadhavi

Amit is our in-house specialist in Periodontics (gum disease). After qualifying from Kings College London in 1991 Amit worked in general practice and subsequently gained a place to study for a Master’s degree in Periodontics at the prestigious Eastman Dental Hospital which is part of University College London.

Having graduated with an MSc in Periodontics in 1997, he was invited to join the Department of Periodontics at the Eastman. Here he was able to provide complex periodontal treatment in a consultant led clinic. Amit’s thesis was published in ‘The Archives of Oral Biology’ and he has also had his research presented at the International Association of Dental Research in Nice.

In 2001 he was accepted onto the General Dental Council’s Specialist register in Periodontics. Amit has worked in several well renowned practices over the years. He has had the opportunity to work in both general dentistry as well as his specialist periodontal cases referred to him by other colleagues from various practices. Many of our patients are already familiar with Amit as he has been our primary source of referring complex periodontal cases over several years and he has worked closely with the dentists at McLaren Dental over that time too.

Amit provides care in all aspects of specialist periodontal cases. He believes in a fully preventative approach and is keen on a close and communicative approach to providing comfortable and successful outcomes.

Primarily, Amit is passionate about ensuring that his patients are fully involved in their care and that they are always made aware of the choices available for their treatment.
